Another beer label for Solemn Oath Brewery that I recently put together. Scareball. a light-golden, light bodied lager, with subtle grassy hop character, assertive bitterness, and a clean, warming finish. -the SOB’s.

Mythological Wonder

An illustration I put together for Solemn Oath, and Sun KIng Brewery. This beer is a spiced toffee rye malt character. Orange/lemon pepper hop profile. Fermented with lager yeast at ale temperature…. get some!

Heavy Metal Parking Lot

An illustration I put together for Solemn Oath Brewery. “Heavy Metal Parking Lot” Come to fruition with Dryhop Brewers, and SOB. A huge citrusy, piney, resinous American hop aroma, moderate bitterness, caramel malt sweetness and fruity Belgian yeast esters. This collaboration was timed to coincide with Dryhops Opening this May…. -SOB dudes.

MANASIKA MASALA

An illustration I put together to mimic the Psychogaze design we put together a few months back. A collaboration with Terra Spice, and Solemn Oath Brewery. This beer in particular is a Luscious roasted, toffee, and caramel malt flavors with Chai spice blend: cardamom, vanilla bean, clove, ginger, cinnamon, tellicherry black peppercorn, and ceylon tea. 

BESTE

A Solemn Oath Brewery branding in collaboration with Publican that I put together. Beste, a crisp, clean, refreshing lager with a delicate bready malt sweetness and a floral hop balance.

FAMINE

Famine. An illustration I put together with Solemn Oath Brewery, in collaboration with Port Brewing and The Lost Abbey. This label was drawn up for Dark Lord Day, 2013. A balanced, crushable Belgian pale with a light caramel sweetness, floral hop balance, and fruity, spicy yeast notes. Brewed in collaboration with Tomme Arthur of Port/Lost Abbey.

After School Matters Mural

The neighborhood project was something that was created with After School Matters and 30 plus Chicago High School Students. Working together to create and install a piece that these young adults felt reflected the type of Chicago they see everyday. This montage has been a year in the making, gathering photos from various neighborhoods, as well, of their friends. The students wanted to work with the idea of a working class city, focusing on downtowns backyard. The reds and blues are in reference to Chicago’s Iconic flag. The more neutral colors are in place to mimic the industrial side of the city. 

ASM x CFD collab

The Firehouse Murals are a project that stemmed from a partnership between After School Matters and The Chicago Fire Department. Working together to create and install several large pieces that will be on display at one of Chicago's oldest fire departments. These pieces came to fruition this past summer (2012) working with thirty Chicago High School students from all over the city. The students worked with the idea of a time line, creating iconic images that represent the time period. Starting with the Great Chicago Fire, a moment that has created what Chicago is today. In the work the smoke and fire have been overlaid with a vintage floral pattern, an Idea one student had to symbolize a new beginning, and future growth for the city. Something this catastrophic has had a major part in shaping much of what we see in the city now. The last four pieces follow suit, creating a visual reference between then and now. The images were cut into organic shapes allowing the pieces to either stand alone, presented as a time line, and/or installed as a layered manor as a free standing object.

Skinny Jeans and Beer bellies

Late next week we will debut an American Pale Ale in the taproom. We called this creation ‘Skinny Jeans are Ridiculous’ because skinny jeans are ridiculous.

Psychogaze

A branding/Illustration I did for Solemn Oath Brewery.  This porter is tapped now. Luscious roasted, toffee, and chocolate malt flavors are balanced by fruity, earthy hop notes in this medium-bodied, robust porter. 6% ABV.  - SOB
